Thanks to our partnership with the Township of Langley, several free workshops for pre-schools, day cares, and Strong Start groups are offered at the Langley Demonstration Garden in May on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Each interactive hands-on workshop is 45 to 60 minutes in length and topics include:

Insects/Pollinators– children will discover a wide variety of insects and learn the important jobs these creatures do to help with pollination while going on a bug hunt, doing the bumble bee boogie and other fun activities.

Composting/Worms– Red Wiggler Worms are the Earth’s true heroes when it comes to recycling. Children will learn how composting worms use their bodies to recycle our food waste into soil, discover the places these creatures call home and participate in fun crafts and songs.
