Volunteer

Langley Environmental Partners Society and its member organizations are continuing to work in your watersheds, but they need your help. LEPS is a true partnership and functions most effectively when the community participates.

We're looking to Langley residents to get involved with our partner groups and LEPS, and help us use the information collected on your behalf to make positive changes in your community. By participating in LEPS as an individual or a member of one of our partner stewardship groups, you can add your voice to other concerned citizens. This helps ensure the detailed information collected by LEPS is used in better land and water use planning, fish habitat enhancement and educational initiatives.

Are You:
  • Interested in helping save the creeks and streams of the Fraser Valley?
  • Keen to learn about stream ecology, waste reduction, stream conservation and restoration techniques?
  • Looking for practical experience in the field, working side by side with trained technicians?

If you've answered YES to any of these questions, we need you!

Here is a list of some of the opportunities for volunteers:

Wildlife Monitoring
Record wildlife observations from the comfort of your home or while out for a walk!

Stormdrain Marking
Paint yellow fish on the street drains!

Invasive Species Removal
Control invasive plants in our parks and near watercourses.

Demonstration Garden Projects
Garden beautification, art projects, organic gardening, compost fun and more!
