Mapping and Inventory is a vital component of LEPS' work; without this program, we would not know the existence or locations of sensitive and critical habitats - which means we would not be able to protect them!
Program Objectives
Create accurate, up-to-date maps of local natural features
Develop and maintain an integrated database and GIS program
Identify natural features that must be preserved, protected or restored
Make the information available to the stewardship community and all levels of government
Collect accurate and usable data through different methods (e.g. mapping, wet/dry surveys, fish sampling)
