One saves seeds for many reasons but celebrating these grains of life needs no explanation.
March 7, 2020 is our upcoming annual Langley Seedy Saturday. Join us for a fun-filled day and stock up on seeds for that garden project you have been planning all winter. We have guest speakers, seed AND plant vendors, a food truck, hot coffee and more! And, don’t forget to enter into one of our great gift baskets! There will also be a walking tour of the beautiful Derek Doubleday Arboretum gardens included during the event.
This is a free event, including free parking.
Also, we are holding a food bank drive. Please bring a non-perishable food item and we will bring them to our local food bank.
Date: March 7th, 2020
Time: 10 am to 2 pm
Location: Interpretive Center, Derek Doubleday Arboretum
Are you a vendor? Our vendor map is full for 2020, BUT we plan on expanding next year, so please keep us in mind for 2021.
Seed Cleaning Workshop and Soup Swap
Do you have seeds that you would like to bring to the Seedy Saturday Event? Want to know if your seeds will be viable for your garden this summer? Free Seed Cleaning Workshop and Soup Swap on January 19, 2020.
Knowledgeable LEPS staff and the KPU Seed Library will be on hand for a free seed cleaning workshop to prepare for our Seedy Saturday. There will also be a soup swap – bring a soup to swap for a soup.
If you are interested, and haven’t gotten around to cleaning your seeds for planting or swapping, this is your event. Also, get on top of your dahlia dividing too! Let’s get our minds planning for spring!
If you would like to be in the soup swap, we just ask that you freeze your 1 L containers of a dairy free soup to bring to the event. The more you bring, the more you can swap!
Date: January 19th, 2020
