Event: Langley BC Rivers Day Festival
When: Sunday, September 24th, 2017
(and Saturday, September 23th for set-up)
Time: Volunteers are needed from 10:00am until 4:00pm

Why volunteer: This is a great opportunity for community involvement! Volunteers at Langley’s BC Rivers Day Festival will learn about local projects and programs related to watersheds and environmental stewardship. Ideal for students interested in pursuing a career in the field of environmental conservation. The Festival provides the opportunity to network with local organisations and businesses in the field. Also suitable for those interested in environmental stewardship or teaching and working with children. Great opportunity to gain volunteer hours for school!
Benefits: All Rivers Day Festival volunteers will receive a free t-shirt, cool giveaways, and breakfast (8:30am-10:30am)!
Tasks:
☼ greeting visitors and providing information
☼ setting up and taking down displays
☼ assisting with participant displays &
activities
☼ assisting with children’s activities
☼ assisting with parking and shuttle
☼ assisting with maintaining grounds
☼ coordinating on-site activities
