There are many opportunities to explore, engage and experience the best of Langley’s natural environment. Forest Fest X BC Rivers Day Festival

Derek Doubleday Arboretum
Join LEPS in collaboration with the Township of Langley for this nature-focused event! In conjunction with BC National Forest Week and World Rivers Day, this family friendly event celebrates the importance of our local forests and water resources and encourages the Langley community to explore and enjoy nature. Event features interactive activities and opportunities to learn what residents can do to protect and conserve Langley’s natural environment. Free admission, no registration required.
Community Lantern Festival FULL

Self-Guided Community Bioblitz
Sept 27 to Oct 25
Visit one of the Township of Langley’s over 30 parks with a stream or wetland during WaterWeeks to collect valuable information about plants, wildlife, fungi and insects and upload your observations to the iNaturalist. Film Screening: Just Eat It- A Food Waste Story

This award winning, locally produced documentary dives into the issue of food waste- from farm, to retail, all the way to the back of their own fridge. After catching a glimpse of the billions of dollars of good food tossed each year in North America, they pledge to quit grocery shopping and survive only on discarded food. Repair Café

Bring your broken household items, bikes or textiles in need of repair and a team of skilled volunteers will do their best to fix it for continued use! Salmon Saturday Stream Clean Up

Pumpkin Walk

The final event of WaterWeeks and the close of the season for the Langley Demonstration Garden. Take a tour through the pumpkin-lined paths of the Demonstration Garden. Learn about nocturnal animals and make your own bat craft. Costumes are encouraged! Entry is by donation, no registration required.
